Obtain your prescription

Using your medicare card you can get your prescription from any local optometrist, it should be free of charge. The optometrist must, by law, provide you with a clear, readable copy of your prescription. Please ask them to provide you with your PD as well. You have to realise that there is absolutely nothing wrong with getting your prescription in one place and getting your glasses somewhere else. It is your choice! And do not forget that your optometrist consultation is covered by Medicare.

If you already have a prescription please make sure that it is not overdue. You can only use the same prescription for the period of two years.

Choose your glasses

Once you have your prescription ready it's very straight forward. If you still haven't chosen your frame(s), please browse through the Glasses Page and select one. If you already have your model number ready, please enter it in the QUICK MODEL SEARCH (on your left) field and press 'Model Search' button.

When you have selected the glasses you like, you will be asked to fill in a very simple form to let us know your prescription. You do have an alternative though to send us your prescription by fax or email, however before using fax or email you have to contact us first.

Filling the form and payment

Please fill in the Options and Prescription form carefully using information from your prescription. All form fields have a question mark on the right hand side, by clicking on it you can get a detailed information about particullar field and what to include in it.

When you have completed the form, please make sure you check it once again for any errors. Once you have checked all the details you can press PayPal button. It will take you to the secure PayPal server where you can make your payment.

Once your payment is complete, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with your order details and receipt number. Your glasses will be sent to you by AU Express Post.
